Randolph J. Rice Ph.D., P. Geol., President and Director

Randolph (Randy) is a highly diversified explorationist. The earlier portion of his career was field-based spent in Canadian and international (Ghana and Mexico) metal/precious mineral exploration (Au, Pb-Zn, U, primary and secondary diamonds) with industry and government surveys followed by ten years (to 2014) as an exploration/development oil sand geologist (mining and in-situ) in Canada.

Randolph has expertise in surface mapping of sedimentary and intrusive/extrusive rocks as well as subsurface mapping in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. An expertise in sedimentary geology is being applied to understanding groundwater flow at environmental remediation sites.

Randolph was educated in Canada having received undergraduate and graduate degrees in geology at Mount Allison University (1974), University of Alberta (1978) and McMaster University (1987) with expertise in clastic sedimentology and stratigraphy.

Randolph served as Program Director with the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists (2008-2009) and was an invited member (2013-2019) of an Industry Advisory Panel for the Department of Earth Sciences, Western University, Canada. He briefly taught geology at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon and Carleton University, Canada.
